Pani Varna (Paani Varna) and Doli mark the bride’s arrival at the groom’s home (or the bride’s departure in older usage). These are tender, symbolic moments — we provide respectful, musically rich performances that honor tradition.
Pani Varna: On arrival, the groom’s mother (or elder) circles water/milk/glass around the heads of the bride and groom (seven times in some customs), sprinkling blessings and symbolically cleansing and welcoming the bride to her new family. The bride may also be presented with gifts, sweets, and aarti.
Groom’s side (welcome): The groom’s family sings ghodiya/ghorhian or welcome songs — upbeat but respectful — and may perform bhangra or light group claps to escort the couple.
Bride’s side (farewell): Female relatives often sing suhaag and lament/ blessing songs, with women performing slow giddha or standing in rows while singing farewell verses.
